Member Mastermind Idea

A Mastermind group session could help us build a synergy of energy.    Some REI members might be wondering why we need a mastermind group session.    I am suggesting the idea because I feel the club could benefit from something that extends beyond monthly meetings.

As we all know, we can go to seminars, get training, hire coaches, and purchase educational materials to help us move forward, and we should never overlook any of these avenues.   I am thankful that our REI club has all of these great features it can offer to its members, but I think getting members more involved in helping each other is just as important if not more.

If we can have a gathering of members for the specific purpose of finding solutions to real estate problems then we could help each other remove our stumbling blocks.   It should be obvious, instead of one person having a single idea on how to fix a problem, we would be multiply our efforts in a way that could bring an incredible number of solutions.     Not only would we be brainstorming, finding solutions, and educating each other, but we would also be building a support team.

The basic mastermind group session that I am suggesting, would allow each participant the opportunity to ask their biggest #1 specifically focused  question (big or small/simple).   The group size would have a limit of 5-8 people per Mastermind to keep questions from becoming overwhelming.   More groups could be formed by splitting up the initial group as it out grows itself in numbers.   Everyone participating a group session must be fully committed, and held accountable for finding a solution/suggestion to each question asked before a deadline.

The group could have its session in person during the monthly REI meeting, after the meeting at a local diner, phone conference, or REI message board.    If held during our monthly R.E.I. Association meeting I suggest it be considered a short closed doors session for club members only.   Each group session could take place once a month, or maybe, even biweekly.    Scheduling group sessions would all depend upon the group and how often everyone wanted to gather.

Overall, I hope this idea is exciting enough to bring some feed back.
