Finding & Keeping Quality Tenants

Hometown Heroes Special:

The Art Finding & Keeping Quality Tenants

Have you noticed very few landlords live the lifestyle of their dreams?

Many Landlords are working their tails off and don’t have much to show for it.

It does not have to be that way.

When you master the art of finding and retaining great tenants you can:

  • Consistently rely on your tenants to pay down your mortgage
  • Maintain higher occupancy rates
  • Eliminate the need for evictions
  • Charge above market rental rates
  • Have harmonious relationships with your tenants

We went high on the hill of experts in the art and science of Finding & Keeping Quality Tenants to get two of the Masters.

Jeff Vaughan of FortWayneRental.com and Hillside Rentals owner Mike Anderson will be revealing and explaining their secrets to the foundation of their elusive autopilot rental machine:

The Art of Finding and Retaining Great Tenants

Mike specializes in NO BS Landlording. He is thee king of landlords in the west central neighborhood. And he has deliberately set up his particular business model so he is within walking distance of 60 of his 120 properties.

Mike has a common sense approach to finding, screening and dealing with tenants that is as effective as it is humorous.

He deals with problems on a day-to-day basis in the real world; his ability to get residence on his side has made the job of Landlord actually pleasant as well as very profitable. Mike’s strategies are well worth learning and implementing whether you have 1 rental or hundreds.

Jeff has learned to keep his occupancy rate very high and to collect all rent. In his 20 years of property management and approximately 550 residents he has only had six evictions. He forms good business partnerships with good residents and stays focused on serving his customer.

Mike Anderson, Hillside Rentals

I was 24 years old, wearing a suit and tie to work, and just thought I was supposed to own a house. The only way anyone would approve me and my bad credit for a loan was to buy a duplex for the extra income. I became a Landlord without trying. If I only had a time machine to go back and warn myself. I made every single mistake possible. If you learn from your mistakes, I have a black belt and 5 PHDs. At times my finances were too conservative, at times I stretched way too thin. I learned how to rebuild a house from the ground up. Now at 40, I have a large rental empire, primarily large multi-families in the downtown area. I have a 2 year old and 4 year old daughters, it’s amazing how that changes everything in your life.
